FAQ

How much does it cost?

Event entry is a minimum $80 per person charitable donation to Outdoor Outreach. We urge teams to fund raise above and beyond the minimum donation. This includes entry into LEGOLAND® California(see below)

Is entry into LEGOLAND® included?

YES. Entry into LEGOLAND on the day of the event is included. The race will take you through the entire park
(including the SEA LIFETM Aquarium) and even if you are a LEGOLAND regular we're sure you'll find new things. There will be a short amount of time after the race to re-visit parts of the park at your leisure.

What if I'm a LEGOLAND® annual passholder already?

There will be a reduced, minimum donation requirement for annual passholders. Please check back as those details become available.

Is Puzzle Pursuit suitable for children?

The short answer is that it depends on the child. If you have an infant who will be in a stroller or backpack all day then you will probably be fine. You should have enough members on your team so that someone can stay behind with the child if you have to ride a ride. Small children may become bored racing around the park solving clues so use your own judgement. You may consider switching off with other team members to spend time with the child while not racing. Perhaps half-way through the race parents swap, one watching the child while the other continues the race.
Remember that children NOT included as part of your team will still need entry into LEGOLAND. Please visit
www.LEGOLAND.com for child ticketing details.

Do I need to be an athlete to play?

Certainly not, although there will definately be a good deal of walking all day. Think of an average day walking around a theme park and you get the idea. In fact you are not allowed to run at any time during the race. This is more a race to exercise your brain.

What time will the event start?

Race day schedule has not yet been locked down, but it will most likely start around 9 AM. Please check back for more details.

How long will the event last?

At this point that has not been determined, but you can plan on 4 to 5 hours of actual race time.

How many people can be on a team?

A team can have up to 4 people(infants would not be counted as team members). Ideally a team will have 3 or 4 players, but a team of 2 will work too. We discourage teams with only a single player as there may be activiites that require more than 1 team member to be involved, but you are welcome to play and work around any situations that may arise.

This is our first puzzle race, should we be in the Basic Division?

Not necessarily. It really depends on your team.

Can I just pay the entry fee or do I have to fund raise?

You may simply make a $80 per person charitable donation to Outdoor Outreach if you wish. But we encourage you to setup a fund raising page and contact your family and friends to donate to this worthy cause. If just 3 friends donate $30 each you've already covered your entry into the race. Check back here for details on how and where to setup your fund raising page, or check out the Puzzle Pursuit page on
Outdoor Outreach

Is there anything I need to bring?

A list of suggested and mandatory items will be provided as the race grows nearer. Apart from a cell phone capable of texting/emailing, all the other mandatory items will be simple things like a paperclip or a rubber band. Just common things everyone should have. You will get more information on this after you sign-up.
